Apprenticeships are available in different levels depending on your previous qualifications and experience. Take a look at the different levels and the equivalent education level:

| Intermediate | 2 | 5 GCSE passes at grade 9 - 4 (A* - C) |
| Advanced | 3 | 2 A level passes |
| Higher | 4, 5, 6, 7 | Foundation degree and above |
| Degree | 6, 7 | Bachelor’s or Master’s degree |
Higher Apprenticeships are an excellent alternative to university and are equivalent to a foundation degree level or higher.
