Former School(s): -
Former School: Langley Park School for Girls
What led you to choosing this course?
My goal is to become a successful businesswoman and own my own business one day. I want to create a business in something that can change the world for the better, and I thought the JRC Business Level 3 course was a good fit and I wanted to study here.
Why did you decide to study at JRC?
I did a lot of research online looking at lots of different colleges. I knew John Ruskin College has a really good reputation, and the course information on the website made me really excited to study there. I spoke to my tutor at school who told me it was a good College.
What do you enjoy most about your course?
I really enjoy the mathmatical finance aspect of the course as well as the opportunity to debate in class. My favourite debate was discussing the importance of different business positions. I also like how group work is incorporated into the classes.
How are you finding the teaching/support?
My tutor Anila is amazing; she always listens to us when we need help and makes sure to always make the lessons interesting and engaging for us. I feel very supported at JRC.
Have you taken part in events/trips/competitions/exhibitions or had any speakers visit?
My Business Level 3 class went on a trip to the Emirates and Park Theatre and Stadium visit which I found really exciting as we got to tour the stadium and facilities. I also enjoyed listening to all the different positions available within the company, as it gave me many ideas for the future of what I might work towards.
What are your future plans?
I’m planning to go to university to study something in business management or finance, but haven’t decided just yet. My career aspiration is to run my own business one day and change the world for the better.
Would you recommend JRC to a future student. If so, why?
Yes, the teachers involved with the business and finance department are amazing and provide a lot of good support. The College is a welcoming place that I feel like I can be myself and feel accepted as part of the community.
