TEEP (Teacher Effectiveness Enhancement Programme) Workshop
Date: 20 February 2022
This month our TEEP Level 2 qualified teachers had the pleasure of attending a teacher training workshop for a Level 3 qualification. With a level 3 qualification teachers can help train new staff and also support any ongoing TEEP developments across the College. Furthermore, it provides John Ruskin College teachers with the opportunity to be kept up to date on developments in teaching and learning through their trainer and networking opportunities with other like-minded Schools and Colleges.
A teacher commented:
“We all thoroughly enjoyed this upskilling from an inspirational trainer in Andy Williams and very much look forward to disseminating the TEEP model.”

The training workshop was carried out over three days and our teachers were able to enhance their skills whilst revisiting the TEEP Framework in groups. Topics covered included: Thinking for learning, Assessment for learning, Accelerated learning, Collaborative learning and Effective use of IT. Teachers were able to have open discussions about these topics and collaborate with one another to discuss new ideas for learning opportunities.
Another teacher commented:
“TEEP Level 3 has been an excellent opportunity for us to revisit the framework, consolidate our understanding and take on new ideas and learning.”
Once teachers gain their Level 3 qualification, they become named TEEP trainers which is a rewarding and interesting experience. Although the role can be challenging and intense, they will have the opportunity to network with colleagues from other Colleges and Academies across the country and share their passion for improving teaching and learning.
