MEI Maths Competition - College Final

MEI Maths Competition - College Final

Date: 20 March 2023

Following Round 1 of the MEI FE Maths Competition, students across a range of curriculum areas took part in Round 2 - the College Final on Wednesday 8 March.

Students competed in groups to win medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, with all students receiving a certificate for participation. Within the College Final, students were entered into different categories, dependent on their existing level in Maths - the Funkies, the Ein2steins and Go Forth. For each category, the students had to complete a Tarsia puzzle, which is a dominoes-style puzzle, and a Kahoot quiz.

The 1st and 2nd place winning pairs from each of the three categories will represent John Ruskin College in Round 3 - MEI FE Maths Cluster Final. This is where JRC will compete against 11 other colleges based in and around London.
