To celebrate the month of Halloween, the Hair & Media Make-up Level 2 and 3 students at JRC have been busy creating spooktacular designs and illusions in our first-class facilities. With the assistance of tutor Susan, students spent around 5 hours creating their designs, using silicon and blood effects skills.
“It’s really interesting to be given these briefs, as we can work with the tutors and discuss initial ideas that we want. I was given the freedom to look at different techniques and I’m really happy with the end result.” – Hair and Media Make-up student.
Students are currently working on a wide range of topics including applying make-up, body art and Health and Safety Practices in the salon.
Whilst students were working on their designs, members from the local community attended our October Open Event which was a fantastic opportunity for prospectus students to interact, ask questions and find out more about the Hair, Beauty, Make-up and Spa courses available.
Our students were able to showcase new techniques and build their confidence in newly learned skills. This workshop was a great opportunity for them to gain inspiration for their projects whilst also studying aspects such as character design and development.
