The Gym Facilities at JRC are getting an upgrade!

John Ruskin College is excited to announce the plans to renovate its gym facilities with state-of-the-art, industry-recognised equipment.

The aim of the renovation is to benefit the College’s current student body – whilst supporting the College’s current commitment to staff and student physical and mental health wellbeing. The high-quality learning environment will also be available for adult learners looking to develop skills and qualifications in the fitness industry.

The new gym will be equipped with cutting-edge machines and free weights, tailored to meet the needs of aspiring fitness professionals and is designed to enhance the College’s expanding range of Adult Part-Time courses with the introduction of Gym Instructing Level 2 and Personal Training Level 3.

We are proud to be offering professionally recognised Active IQ qualifications, which once completed give students the ability to work in gyms, fitness centres or become a freelance trainer. The level of certification provides learners with a deeper understanding of fitness, exercise programming, and nutrition, enabling students to design tailored programs for clients with various fitness goals.
