Freshers Fair 2024

Freshers Fair 2024

Date: 13 September 2024

College is about so much more than studying, as students found out firsthand at John Ruskin College’s Freshers Fair on 12 September.

To jumpstart the Autumn term, our Enrichment team hosted our annual Freshers Fair with the aim to encourage new and current students to interact with college activities, as well as discover a range of opportunities from local and national employers, charities and businesses.

From discovering exciting career pathways to meeting inspiring representatives from Palace for Life, Oddballs, the Army, Kooth and more, students had a blast exploring the opportunities available. Not to mention, our very own college stands were there too – offering everything from enrichment activities, safeguarding tips, to offering impartial advice and guidance on work placements.

New student, Zack commented: “College life is so different from school, I didn’t know there were this many activities available. I can’t wait to try some of them!”

Jordan Johnson, Student Engagement Coordinator added: “The fair was a fantastic success, and a big thank you to all our exhibitors for coming in. The students definitely appreciated the freebies, and it was great to see their enthusiasm about everything the College has to offer.”

Thank you to all our exhibitors for coming in – our students had a wonderful time.
