Sport Students take on Croywall Climbing
Date: 03 December 2024
As part of their unit focusing on technical and tactical demands of sport, our Sports Level 3 Year 2 students are required to take part in multiple adventurous activities throughout the year. Last week, students got stuck into bouldering and auto-belay instructed sessions at Croywall Climbing Centre.

During the morning, students were able to take it in turns to try and complete different routes – testing their skill, endurance and overall body strength. Some routes were tougher than others, which gave students the opportunity to lead in encouragement, communicate as a team and complete the routes.

Abbee Cole, Curriculum Coordinator commented: “Today was a great opportunity for students to learn about the different obstacles in Sport, whether its physical or mental. Throughout the session, students learned more about the climbing sport and the skills/training that are involved.”
