Cats Protection Visit our Animal Management Students
Date: 22 October 2024
Last week, Community Education Officer for Cats Protection, Jonathan Ramsden, paid a visit to John Ruskin College to meet with our Animal Management Level 1 students.
Jonathan’s talk was both engaging and interactive, directly involving the students through interactive questions and tasks to complete on their phones.
The talk predominantly focused on the 5 welfare needs of cats and how to appropriately care for them, this directly links to their Unit 216 which covers assisting with maintaining the health and wellbeing of animals.
At the end of the talk, students were given the opportunity to ask questions about the industry and how to get involved with the charity.
Reflecting on the experience, Jonathan commented, “It was great to visit John Ruskin College and talk to the Animal Management students about the important work we do at Cats Protection. Seeing their engagement when discussing real-world examples really showed their passion for the welfare of animals.”
